About Groh Associates

OUR HISTORY- Groh Associates was founded in 1969 by Bob Groh. Bob's son Don Groh joined the company in 1986 and bought the company in 1997. Don has continued in striving to represent companies manufacturing quality products with a primary emphasis on mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronics components and sensors. The long term growth in sales has been accomplished by excellent sales people and support personnel along with strong principals who are leading companies in their field.

OUR SALES PHILOSOPHY- Groh Associates is an integrated team of professionals. We are both product and customer oriented. We believe that professionalism, hard work, and empathy for both principals and customers are our primary responsibilities. Groh Associates insists on informative, accurate, and timely communications between our people and our principals. We emphasize complete product knowledge, while stressing initiative and creativity in the sales process. We invest a substantial amount of our sales time with design and project engineering personnel, ensuring product qualification on the customer's approved vendor lists.

OUR ORGANIZATION- In support of our field sales force, Groh Associates maintains a fully staffed and equipped 2400 square foot office facility in Mission Viejo, California. We are convenient to John Wayne Airport and central to the territory. We provide prompt, courteous, and efficient liaison with and backup to our field sales team for our customers and principals. The entire staff is trained to discuss applications and specifications of all products represented.

OUR OEM STRATEGY- Our traditions are rooted in "design-in 'and "print position". Our goals are to be on the spec and recommended by engineers as the preferred source. We sell our customers on the value of our products and services to their requirement, and the value our customers can contribute toward our principal's goals in the territory.

OUR DISTRIBUTION STRATEGY- Groh Associates has made the commitment to support distribution with a full-time dedicated Distribution Manager. Her responsibility is to champion the successful partnership we have grown with our distributor network of "design-in" and mutual sales opportunities. We provide field support, training sessions, and work with our distributor partners to make sure the customer and principal are satisfied.

OUR SALES PROMOTION- Professional and effective sales promotion includes product demonstrations, local ERA and regional trade shows, direct mailings, and prompt follow-up of qualified sales leads. We attribute our success to a creative sales program and the dynamics and technical advancements inherent in our industry.

OUR GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: Groh Associates' mission is to achieve maximum short and long range profitable results for our principals, our customers, and ourselves. We aim to give each Principal every confidence that they have the best representation in the territory. We strive to expand our customer base, provide each of our principals with market visibility and sales competence, and offer our customers technologically relevant and exciting product offerings.
